Independence from Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive
MoneyMeta is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. We are an independent publication that researches, models and tracks the in-game and real-world economy around GTA 6. Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive and their published materials are referenced on this site only to describe and analyse a game they make — never to imply any partnership, licence or official status. "GTA" is a trademark of its respective owner, used here in a purely descriptive, nominative sense.
We do not use assets, artwork, character likenesses or in-universe names owned by Rockstar Games anywhere on this site, including in our logo, branding and illustrations. Where we describe an in-game system, we describe it in our own words.
Every pre-launch figure is a model, not a measurement
GTA 6 has not shipped. Until the servers open, MoneyMeta cannot log a single real run, a real payout or a real market price inside the game — nothing about the shipped economy can be measured before the game exists to measure. Every dollar figure, hourly rate, setup cost, ROI estimate or market projection published on this site before launch day is a pre-launch estimate: a model built from comparable in-game economies, publicly available pre-release material, and our own judgment about how those systems are likely to translate.
We label these figures accordingly. You will not find the words "measured," "confirmed" or "tested" attached to a pre-launch number anywhere on MoneyMeta — only "estimated" or "modelled." Where we say a number is a model, we mean it: treat it as an informed projection, not a guarantee of what you will see in the shipped game. The moment the servers open, we begin replacing modelled figures with logged, repeatable runs from the live game, page by page, and we date every update so you can see exactly which numbers are still pre-launch estimates and which have been superseded by real data.
General use
Content on MoneyMeta is provided for informational purposes. Game mechanics, prices and systems can and do change after launch through official patches, and any specific method, business or market behaviour we describe may be adjusted or removed by Rockstar Games at any time — we update our content when that happens, but there may be a gap between a change shipping and our coverage catching up. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we are not licensed to give any of it.
Most of our coverage concerns in-game currency and in-game economic systems. Some of it does not. We write factually about Take-Two Interactive as a publicly traded company, and about real-world ways people earn money around the game — server operation, content creation and asset sales. None of that is a recommendation. We do not tell anyone to buy or sell any security, we do not forecast a share price, and we do not endorse any cryptocurrency, token or NFT — there is no official GTA 6 coin, and anything presenting itself as one is not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
Where we describe real-world earning, the rules governing it are set by Rockstar Games and Cfx.re, not by us, and they change. Read the current licence terms yourself before you rely on anything here, and take professional advice on tax and on your own circumstances.
